Moments from Liberty Towers, Liberty State Park is a gem. While the park is significant for those interested in the history of New Netherland and New Jersey, most people come here to admire the breathtaking views of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty. From here you can take a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The park also has a two-mile promenade that’s become a favorite with bicyclists, joggers and rollerbladers. Liberty State Park also has lots of green space making it a perfect place to have picnic or enjoy a beautiful day by the water.
Liberty State Park is open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
