Skyway Golf Course Opening in Jersey City Next WeekBY libertytowers, June 13, 2015
It’s time to dust off those golf clubs, Liberty Towers: the area’s first public golf course is about to open for business in Jersey City. Have you been practicing in our golf simulator room? It’s time to put your skills to the test!
The nine-hole Skyway Golf Course at Lincoln Park West will open June 15 for nine-hole rounds, while golfers will be able to play 18 holes beginning July 1, said Hudson County spokesman Jim Kennelly.
The 55-acre course — which will be between 3,100 and 3,200 yards in length — is located on Routes 1&9 and Duncan Avenue. The course’s nine-hole format provides golfers a more time-efficient alternative to playing a full 18 holes and much more managable length for beginner golfers. The complex will also include a club house with a pro shop, dining facility and patio.
At only $20 per person, with special prices for students and senior citizens, Hudson County residents will also have the option of buying a discount card.
