New Seafood Spot in Downtown Jersey CityBY Editor, July 10, 2015
Jersey City has always been known for it’s waterside location, but not as much for it’s seafood restaurants. Why should you now visit downtown Jersey City for some of the best seafood around? Just BeClaws.
The rural and nautical theme of Just BeClaws, which officially opened in May and seats fifty, is made up of wooden tables and chairs, as well as Jersey City’s first “boat bar”, with narrow hallways and port holes that leave you feeling like you’re eating seafood right on a ship.
The brainchild of Brothers Nambinh and Francis Tran, this Vietnamese Cajun seafood restaurant is not your typical seafood place. Based of traditional Vietnamese home-cooking, it’s menu is set up with a section for the raw bar, appetizers, sandwiches and wings. Entrees are offered in a three-step breakdown with a choice between crawfish, lobster, blue crab, snow crab, king crab and Dungeness crab and a variety of seasonings.
Just BeClaws, located at 280 First St in Jersey City, is open Sunday, and Tuesday through Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 3 to 11 p.m. It’s a great new option in downtown Jersey City for summer dining! For a look at the menu visit www.justbeclaws.com.
