Summer has gone by fast and with the last few weeks here it’s time to cram in time for all those fun refreshing snacks and drinks everyone loves to enjoy during the hot weather before the cold comes! If you are looking for some fun drink ideas for the last few days of the season and to try out your bartending skills in your beautiful Liberty Towers kitchen, it’s not too late! Here are some terrific easy to make and delicious suggestions so you can take in the end of summer in the most relaxing way. They’d be a great addition to a relaxing day on our deck by the pool!

Peach Ginger Iced Tea is a refreshing drink for relaxing outside on a hot day. Ingredients include 1 cup of peaches, 1 cup of raspberries, and thinly sliced fresh ginger and mint leaves. You can adjust the portion size of ingredients to fit your taste. The preparation time is very easy which makes it a great last minute drink and also a great additional if you are looking for something to bring to a summer barbeque or party.

Berry Splash is a light refreshing drink and perfect if you love berries! This simple recipe only has three ingredients which are unsweetened cherry drink mix, strawberry or mint leaves and white cranberry juice. The recipe suggests pairing it with berry ice cubes and specifically one with blueberries. The recipe to both can be found here.

Summer Breeze not only tastes great but just looking at it will make you excited to try! With its blue and yellow color, it’s inciting to all and since it’s non-alcoholic a perfect kid friendly summer drink as well! Ingredients include raspberry lemonade mix, frozen lemonade, pineapple juice and ginger ale. The full recipe can be found from My Recipes which also give you detailed instructions on how to make it.

To make your drinks even more fun or make a simple beverage like water more exciting flavored ice cubes are a great addition to make your drink more enjoyable! Citrus ice cubes are the perfect addition for water or iced tea! You can take your pick of lemon, lime, orange or whichever works best with what you are having. All you have to do is slice the citrus of your choice very thin and fill each cube with a slice or two and water. You can even use a non-alcoholic punch instead of water if you want to make it more interesting! If you are looking to make larger ice cubes for a punch bowl you can use muffin cups instead of ice cube trays for better results!

Berry ice cubes are perfect for a summer drink addition. Since berries are a main ingredient as they are in season they can add extra delicious flavor to already berry filled drinks. The Cooking Channel suggests berry cubes paired with Lemon Ginger Iced Tea. You can find the recipe for both here. Rachel Ray’s Website also has a wonderful exciting recipe that has two main ingredients of puree raspberries and milk. You can also find that recipe on her website!

Flower ice cubes are perfect to brighten up any drink. Martha Stewart’s website explains the best way to do this is to layer. Fill the tray halfway with water and place the flower face down and freeze. Once this is done you can add more water and freeze again. You can look at their website to learn more and read full instructions to create your own floral ice cubes. Sparkling Elderflower Lemonade is just one of the many perfect drink pairings to match these fun ice cubes with! You can find the recipe for the lemonade here.
