Best Places to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Jersey CityBY Editor, March 13, 2017
Anyone who looks forward to St. Patrick’s Day will be happy to hear that it falls on a Friday this year. On this day, the bars and restaurants in Jersey City come alive with Irish music, traditional Irish fare and your favorite cold beers. Here are some of the best spots in the city to celebrate.
New Park Tavern – This isn’t an authentic Irish pub, but it sure feels like it! They serve their classic corned beef sandwich (which is served year-round), have a local crowd and a dark and cozy ambiance like most Irish pubs. If corned beef isn’t your thing, try one of their burgers. They are arguably one of the best in Jersey City.
PJ Ryan’s – This corner tavern is in the heart of downtown Jersey City and has an inviting ambiance. They have traditional Irish fare as well as classic American dishes. PJ Ryan’s also has a location in Journal Square, Jersey City where they hosted the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 13th.
9th and Coles – A cozy pub in downtown Jersey City which has a great local crowd. They have daily food specials which they post to Instagram, an extremely friendly staff, and great drinks that are inexpensive. 9C will be serving corned beef sandwiches along with their regular menu which consists of favorites such as fish n’ chips, roast “beast” sandwich and their 3-cheese mac.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day from the Bozzuto Group!
